Moving Home Doesn’t Have To be Stressful!

Moving house is not something that most of us look forward to, no matter where you are and what you are. That stress is magnified several times over if you’re looking at London removals. Unless you have very few possessions, call in the professionals to help you move house. It will make a difference when you actually move. Here are some tips from them on handling the big day:

Moving home is a great opportunity to sort out your possessions. Throw away or recycle your rubbish and separate items that can be given to friends or sold to charity shops. Surprisingly that doesn’t just cover your smaller items. The FRN supports various charitable re-use organisations and helps very poor households get furniture, white goods and other household items at affordable prices.

Hire your removal company at least two weeks before you move and remember that you may also have to apply for parking dispensations from your local authority for the removal van itself. Do get at least three quotes from companies before deciding and try to select a removal company that is a member of the respected British Association of Removers (BAR). That way, you’ll know that they are professional and have adequate insurance cover. Get packing boxes well in advance from local shops or various supermarkets, and save newspapers for wrapping breakables. Book your moving company at least two weeks in advance of the proposed moving date, and remember that specific timings are important.

When packing boxes do not overfill boxes with heavy goods this only going to create move trouble when you come to move. Drawers in chests can be left filled with linen and clothes but it’s a good idea to at least hire wardrobe boxes for the enormous contents of wardrobes. It will also help if you let your chosen removal company know the amount of furniture you’re moving, so it can choose an adequately sized truck and plan the number of journeys needed between your old and new home. Provide clear instructions and directions to your new property and always tell the removal firm well in advance of pieces of furniture which won’t go through the door making a plan of where the furniture needs to go in your new home or agreeing a colour coding system with various stickers etc is always helpful.

Where are the coolest place to live in London?

It is a question that baffles many who want to move over to the Capital of England. I would really like to move to London but where shall I go? Well, there are many different areas where you can live in London, some of them are expensive and some of them are ridiculously expensive! You have to find the happy medium and get the most out of what you have found.
Anyone moving to London will know that it is one of the most expensive things you will ever have to pay for in your life but it will definitely be worthwhile. The city has so much to offer in terms of entertainment and job opportunities it is hard to say no. Firstly, apply for a job and see if you get it. If you do get it you will have a better idea of where you need to be. The closer you live to your work the more you will save on transport which is always good. Secondly, get a good idea of the cost of rent in the area from the estate agents. Is it worth going a bit further down the road where you can save more on rent? Thirdly, think about what zone you want to live in and see how much bills could be. This should provide an accurate amount that you will be paying out each month. Moving home is an expensive affair you need to organise a company which specialises in London Removals to come and move all of your stuff to your new location. Once you have that in place your life will be made a hell of a load easier. There a selection of companies inside London which specialise in London Removals andOffice moves.
Each district of London has its advantages but in my opinion you can only base a decision on where you get a job. That is the deciding factor for me. Good Luck!

Heading to the capital?

Moving to such a major city like London is a big decision and that is a decision that I am currently considering. There is a lot to think about and consider. Where do you start.

London is a great place to be in terms of opportunity and work. There is plenty of money to be made. However the city life is not for all as it can get so crowded. For many people the thought of moving home is extremely overwhelming but with good planning and preparation this can be a relatively easy going task – London removals are really not as stressful as you may think and remember that office removals is not nearly going to be as expensive as moving your house.

Any important aspect to moving out to London is to establish where you are going to move to. London is such a wide area, you could find all sorts of pockets that you could call home. Good research is the key to finding a nice place to live in London and for me; North West London is a good place to start. It is a popular area with people and it is very up and coming. You could live outside of the central zones' to save some money on rent and transport which may be quite handy. Living in Zone 5 could be really useful in the way that it could save you a lot of money in rent. It is equally important to check that you are living close to a tube station so if you are working in the centre of town you can get there will some ease.

So, with these point in mind it is worth having a little think about moving to London. London is not for everyone so it is important to think about whether it is the best move?

Relocate Your Business

Moving the contents of the home, with just a few rooms and collected possessions, is said to be one of the most stressful things you can do. Just imagine what the stress factor is like when moving an entire business, especially if it’s a London removal!

Office moves can make or break a company and its staff. But they can be a blessing in disguise (although sometimes heavily disguised), presenting the perfect opportunity to rethink some operational and organisational aspects of your business.Planning for an office move is the perfect time to consider ideas on how to make cost savings, consolidate resources, or use new technology to cut down the amount of clutter that you’ve got to move and to improve future working practices.Ask yourself whether you really need to move offices in the first place.

When it comes to London removals, it may make more sense to consider better ways of using your current property.Small companies can often grow in an unplanned manner which often means that office space isn’t always used to its best effect anyway.Consider getting in a professional give you advise on how you can use the space you’ve already got better. You could consider bringing in flexible working hours, “hot-desking” practices or home working policies that reduce the amount of space required for a fixed number of people.   Another way to maximise the use of your own space is to investigate business storage for office equipment or furniture that you don’t currently need, but may do in the future.

However, if your staff are falling over each other and none of the above options are viable, then it’s time to look at an office move.Ideally, office moves should be on the agenda before you reach that point and when you plan to move from your original offices should form part of your initial business plan.Even if that means using simple triggers like number of staff or turnover, it’s wise to start planning the move as early as possible.Your chosen removal company should survey your new office prior to the move and be prepared to assist in the planning and co-ordination right through to the unpacking of the last box.

Ditch London Removal Blues with Business Storage

You’ll know it’s time to move in your business life  when there aren’t enough seats in the boardroom for a full staff meeting or extensive use is being made of the low level filing facility (the floor).   Moving office can pull together your staff and your team, or it can lead to months of frustration.Moving the contents of a domestic home is one of the most stressful things you will ever do.  Magnify that stress factor by several powers and you’ve got an idea of what it could be like for relocating an entire business, particularly if it’s a London removal!

The eternal optimists among us say that moving is the best time to restructure and streamline. Not a challenge, but an opportunity to get rid of all that unwated business baggage. That can be true, provided you hire a reliable and competent removal company that surveys your current and intended office before the move and is prepared to assist in planning and co-ordination right through to the unpacking of the last box.  The pain of London removals is also eased if you’ve begun the planning process well in advance using pre-set business milestones such as staffing levels as the indicators for a move.

The trauma of London removals can be avoided altogether if you look into alternatives. Are there better ways for you to use your current property? If the number of staff is the real issue and you can’t implement shift work or hot desking practices, then clear up some extra space by outsourcing some activities off site if you can (does your accounts department need to share the same office space for example) and putting stuff you don’t need in the office (archive files, stationery etc) but do need access to in secure storage.

Specialist London removals firm Amber Moves for example has a modern, full computerised, warehouse equipped with two high capacity overhead cranes providing secure storage in 20 ft steel containers.Furniture, household goods and archives can all be stored safely with controlled humidity and temperatures to reduce any environmental damage. If you are storing valuable items, you can ensure their safety by protecting the containers with alarmed protection.Short or long term storage is available ranging from a 100 cu ft unit through to the 20 ft containers and is charged weekly from as little as £10.

The storage solution may only be a temporary palliative or it could be the ultimate solution. It may only delay the inevitable dat that you have to move your business, but it will still give you extra time to plan for a smooth relocation and do things at your own pace and be more efficient. And for London removals, getting extra breathing space is a nice change to the usual hectic routine!
